3DS Max / Modeling

This is a room created in 3DS Max with V-Ray as the renderer, all the pieces were created from scratch using box modeling. This was from a tutorial in 3D World or 3D Artist magazine. The first image is the first basic render with materials in place with a wood effect table.

After some experimenting with the lighting I decided to make the table top glass and place some more glasses and the wine glass I had previously created, the idea being to see how the reflections would work to enhance the scene. The table lamp had some issues along with it’s reflection in the table but that would be revisited later. I added chrome materials to the couch and chairs and a new carpet texture.

This was a great tutorial and I learned a lot with quick results.
